Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

St Peter's Church, Marlborough

There has been a church on the site since about c1090 and a few traces of that building remain. The present church was built in 15thC, and the interior was extensively altered in mid-19thC. It is still used regularly, even though it was declared redundant in c1974, for Christian worship, as well as for exhibitions, concerts, receptions and sales. It is run by a Trust, officially incorporated in c1978, whose purpose is to preserve the church and to make it available for the use of the local community and to visitors.
